Before I started coming to Love4Life, I was having difficulties at school. Other people would call me names and bully me and this made me feel sad all the time. Going into school was really hard and my self-confidence got lower and lower.
I first heard about Love4Life through my sister who was coming to the TwentyTwenty Lifeskills centre. She had spoken to Liv about me and then Liv came to see me at school and told me about the girls group.
At first I was very scared about going because I didn’t know anyone, but when I actually came along everyone made me feel really welcome. I feel really happy coming to group every week. I know that if I ever need someone to talk to they are always there for me.
Love4Life has helped me gain so much more confidence and I feel happy with who I am. Going to school is easier and I feel more able to handle difficult situations when they come my way. I now know it’s not true what other people say about you – when they call you names. You shouldn’t listen to them, because it’s not who you are – I now know who I am!
