The Prima Tiger Cup has now been running for 24 years and is the largest and most prestigious single-age series of festivals and events in the rugby calendar.
The under-10’s tournament has given thousands of young players from all over the UK an unforgettable opportunity to follow in the steps of some of rugby’s greatest-ever players and play at the Welford Road stadium.
Each season the Tigers host a series of festivals, played at clubs within the region. Throughout the duration of these festivals the Tigers will be looking to identify clubs who demonstrate the teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship of the game under their event criteria in keeping with RFU Age Grade Regulations and guidelines. This “Fair Play Scoring System” looks at behaviours as well as the actual score and was introduced with the agreement of the RFU following their rule changes in 2016.
Selected clubs are invited to participate in a series of games to be held at the Tigers stadium during the season and share a first-team match day.
There will be four events staged throughout the region in the coming weeks and we would like to wish all teams, players and coaches the very best for the season ahead.
The deadline has already passed for the Diss festival at the start of October but places are still available for clubs to play at Lutterworth, Tamworth and Mellish.
If your club would like to take part, or wish to be put on the mailing list for next season, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org
