Established in 1982, Derbyshire-based TDP Textiles is one of the largest suppliers of children’s licensed character merchandise in the UK. With a turnover exceeding £20 million, the company provides nightwear, underwear and other children’s garments to several British retailers including BHS, Tesco and Disney Stores.
TDP Textiles were looking for a software solution with the functionality of an off-the-shelf Management Information System, featuring Stock Control, Sales Order Processing and Financial Management. The company also required a specific Order Management system, choosing PrimaNet from Prima Solutions in 1991 as a trusted industry-specific package.
The software needed to hold initial ideas about an order and allow the user to build on that as more information was obtained. Eventually, a product code would be allocated and then the order details would be processed through PrimaNet for Sales Order Processing.
By working in partnership with TDP Textiles to fully understand their processes and practices, we were able to develop a system that is easy-to-use and does exactly as required. The integrated system means all staff have access to reap multiple benefits, particularly enhanced customer service levels. Both Prima and TDP Textiles agree that the effective partnership built between us since the initial contact has made a huge difference, continuing to deliver substantial mutual benefit.
"Prima evaluated our requirements and worked with us to develop a system which is easy to use and has the functionality to do exactly the job we wanted. All staff have access to the Prima system and we are now more efficient in our handling of customer needs."
"TDP Textiles is a business which changes year on year and we believe in supplying a quality product, on time and at the right price. We are here for this reason and Prima Solutions has played a big part in our business development."
"We have enjoyed many benefits since implementing the software. In fact so many that I could not to put a figure on it. We no longer have a number of systems in the office; we all operate on a networked solution."
