Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge

Prima Solutions and CARE International have been working together since 2005 to provide the Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge. A multi-activity challenge which helps contribute to the fantastic work that CARE International carries out in helping people find routes out of poverty in some of the world's poorest communities. The Challenge consists of mountain walking, canoeing and cycling and is updated each year, incorporating new locations in the most stunning parts of the UK, which have included the Lake District, Snowdonia and now the Brecon Beacons.

Prima Solutions first expressed interest in sponsoring an event for the clothing and footwear industry having participated in a CARE 3 Peaks Challenge in 2004. Prima and CARE both felt that there was a good opportunity to run an event for this sector, giving participating companies an opportunity to network with peers, have an excellent team building experience, many of the companies taking part already directly or indirectly impact on developing countries, so CARE has been seen as a very good fit for the industry.

Over 40 teams have taken part to date including high profile names such as Hugo Boss, Timberland, Marks & Spencer and Mulberry, and to date the event has raised over £200,000 for CARE International. We're hoping that 2011 will be a great year for this event with faces old and new taking up the challenge.

"We all really enjoyed the weekend from start to finish. There was a great atmosphere about the event (even at 6am on Saturday) and it was nice to see a bit of sunshine! It is very rewarding to be involved in raising such a fantastic amount for charity. We will definitely return next year bigger and better!"
John Smedley

"It's been tough but very, very rewarding. We're proud to be involved with CARE. We're going to do it again next year. It's about personal achievement, but more than that it's about achieving something genuinely important."

"Probably the most challenging, exciting and fun day we've ever experienced. Great team work."
